Kendra Larson, Director
Kendra Larson grew up in Salem, OR and has deep ties to the Pacific NW. She received her BFA from PNCA and MFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ever active in the local art scene, she has served on the board of Orlo and Art in Oregon. Larson's artwork is represented by Augen Gallery in Portland, OR. Larson has taught post-secondary art since 2007 and has hosted an art podcast since 2019. Larson has curated shows in a variety of alternative spaces including the Project Lodge gallery in Madison, Wisconsin, and The Vestibule project space in Portland, OR. She lives with her husband, son, and standard poodle near Mt Tabor. Her art can be seen at www.kendralarson.com
Yuliia Umanets, Gallery Assistant
Yuliia is an artist and animator with aspirations of earning her bachelor's degree in animation. In her free time, she immerses herself in the pages of classic literature and seeks adventure amidst the beauty of nature. Although she has a bad relationship with sports, she finds joy and tranquility in the serenity of hiking trails. The wild landscapes of the Pacific Northwest inspire her to create oil paintings.
Katie Swaim, Gallery Assistant
Katie Swaim was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest before joining the Navy. While in, she lived in Japan for two years and also served on humanitarian missions in south east Asia. She has a back ground in ceramics but is currently pursuing a BFA with a metals concentration. Inspired by her travels overseas, she tries to encompass the philosophy of "Wabi Sabi" in her work. In her free time she enjoys going on hikes with her son or checking out live music.
Braedon Pitman, Gallery Assistant
Braedon is a novel writer and musician born in Portland OR. They have lived in the PNW all of their life and enjoy hiking on the occasional weekend. Unsurprisingly, they are a creative writing major at Clark college and aim to be a successful author. The quote by Adam Savage, “failure is always an option”, is their life motto. Failure isn’t the end, it’s the first step on the pathway of learning.
Thank you!
We want to acknowledge the generous support of Clark College’s Student Government ASCC, the Clark College Art Department, and the greater Clark College community.
